The Season 9 American Idol is ... LEE DEWYZE!!!!!!!!
Despite the fact that Crystal Bowersox appeared to have this competition in the bag early on, the dark horse has come from behind and stolen her crown. However, here at Predict Idol, we felt that we'd be happy with either result. So a big congratulations to Lee!
So Crystal Bowersox joins Justin Guarini, Clay Aiken, Diana DeGarmo, Bo Bice, Katharine McPhee, Blake Lewis, David Archuleta, and Adam Lambert as a 2nd-place finisher. It's all good.

Zinni has proved herself a formidable contender in the game of "Predict Idol." She had more than double the number of correct guesses throughout the season than Zoey had, with 15 out of 23 (as compared to Zoey's 7 out of 23). Pretty pathetic showing by Zoey.
JUDGING THE JUDGES
New this year, the Prognosticats also rated the judges, as is only fair, on the basis of their constructive criticism, coherence, and entertainment value. Kara has prevailed (not a result we would have expected after her dismal performance last year). In his final year with Idol, Simon came in a close second. Trailing them were Ellen (she started the season well but seems to have given up), and Randy, the Simon-booing, dawg-calling, completely-and-utterly-useless-comment-spewing fourth judge.

It was a carbon copy of that season when “Kat McPee” was beaten by Taylor Hicks.
Vote For The Worst “Victory” indeed, when the off-key singer beats the overly-pimped favorite.
Had she whitened her teeth, dumped the dreads, and lost some weight — Crystal could have easily won this event.
Fortunately for me — I will never have to play her songs at weddings because she (like Lee DeWyze) will be an asterisk on the AI lexicon.
I’m so glad she LOST….she would have been another “Fantasia” (the last Baby Momma to win AI).
